Fed's Musalem says he wanted to remove 'easing bias'

St Louis Federal Reserve President Alberto Musalem on Thursday said that he was one of several U.S. central bankers last month who felt the Fed should remove the "easing bias" from its post-meeting statement, opening up the possibility of a rate hike.

"I supported the interest rate decision, but I thought the easing bias was no longer consistent with the outlook and the balance of risks," Musalem said in an interview on Bloomberg Television
