A mother has been arrested and accused of killing her 2-month-old son in November, Oklahoma investigators said.

The 38-year-old mother took the infant to a Wagoner County hospital where he died on Nov. 27, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a May 22 news release. Investigators were called to investigate the “suspicious” death.

The child’s body was sent to the medical examiner’s office, and investigators obtained a warrant to search the mother’s home and found methamphetamine, authorities said.

The child’s death was determined to have been caused by methamphetamine toxicity on May 21, officials said.

Now, the mother, Julia Nail, has been charged with first-degree murder, distribution of controlled or dangerous substances and child neglect, investigators said.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing.

Wagoner County is about a 35-mile drive southeast from Tulsa.
