A 79-year-old woman experienced a bizarre home intrusion when a stranger walked in, greeted her with a hug and then proceeded to relax and take a dip in the pool, according to police in Florida.

It happened Wednesday, May 15, in Naples and police say the suspect is a local social media personality who posts promotional videos on TikTok. Naples is on the state’s Gulf Coast, about a 165-mile drive south of Tampa.

“The suspect ... entered the residence without permission and gave an unwanted hug to a resident,” Naples police said in a May 16 news release.

“(She) then made herself at home by sitting on a chair in the living room, resting on a bed for several minutes, then proceeding to jump in their pool, all before leaving the residence.”

The resident did not report being injured by the “unwanted guest” and investigators did not say if she confronted the accused intruder at any point.

Investigators identified the suspect as a 47-year-old woman who is “currently on state probation for a 2020 offense of resisting an officer.”

She was arrested at her home in Collier County and charged with “trespassing in an occupied structure,” police said.

Details of a motive have not been released.

The suspect’s social media company promotes Naples business and recreational opportunities.

“I like to spread kindness,” the woman says in one TikTok video.
