Lakeside property for sale in Texas has everything — including a tree growing through
A stunningly unique property has popped up on the real estate market in Texas Hill Country. The venue, listed for $2.5 million, not only comes with killer views of Medina Lake, but also has a little something extra.
Sitting cliff-side on 25 acres, the venue is a whopping 7,300 square feet and has 3,000 square feet of decking to take in the picturesque lake below.
While the interior is complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood floors that reflect the light peaking in from almost every corner, there is one thing that would appear out of place in any other property:
A mature tree.
“Designing homes with nature in mind has become increasingly common, whether the focus is on sourcing sustainable construction materials or forging connections between the interior spaces and surrounding landscape,” Dwell.com says about building around trees instead of removing them.
“It comes with good reason: The benefits of having greenery in your home include reduced stress, better focus, and cleaner air.”
McClatchy News reached out to Douglas Elliman Real Estate on Dec. 23 to discover the meaning behind the developer’s thoughts for building around these stunning trees.
“The tree in the special event center is there because the owner is a tree lover and didn’t want to cut it down,” the listing agent said in an email. “Thought it would be an interesting feature, which it certainly has been at past events.”
The tree appears to add to the entire aesthetic of the property without missing a beat, giving it an almost Zen vibe.
The property, which can be used for a variety of entertainment options, is located in Mico, Texas, about 33 miles northwest of San Antonio.
The listing is held by Gordon von Broock of Douglas Elliman.
