Astronaut becomes China’s first woman to walk in space

A Chinese astronaut became the first woman from her country to walk in space while working on the Chinese space station Tianhe on November 7.

These videos posted to Weibo by the China Manned Space Engineering Network shows Wang Yaping leaving and re-entering the module, along with fellow astronaut Zhai Zhigang.

The astronauts were sent to the Tianhe space station on October 16 as part of the Shenzhou-13 mission to build the space station, according to China’s Xinhua News Agency.
