Dreamy castle near Dallas listed for $5 million has secret rooms and more. Take a look
Ever fantasize of living in your own custom castle complete with everything your heart desires? This Southlake, Texas, mansion listed for $5 million might just make that dream a reality.
Located about 30 miles northwest of Dallas, this almost 20,000-square-foot estate is “fit for royalty,” the listing on Realtor.com promises. And judging by the photos, the breathtaking mansion lives up to the hype.
Along with eight bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, the castle also has a wine tasting room, elevator, media room, massive primary suite with his and hers water closets, ginormous walk-in closets, ample garage space, an over-sized pantry and a backyard oasis.
Now about those secret rooms.
According to Mansion Global, there are two different rooms — one behind a bookshelf and another “underneath one of the spires of a turret off the garage.”
While owning a castle would be nice, it’s really those hidden rooms that will impress party guests.
“You use the back stairs and there are no windows ... it’s a whole separate area,” listing agent Roxann Taylor of Engel & Volkers Dallas Southlake told Mansion Global.
Another major draw is the privacy factor. This is thanks to the fact that the home backs up to a sanctuary.
“That land cannot be built on, which makes the property so private,” Taylor tells Mansion Global.
