Where is Sasquatch? In the snowy mountains of Washington, state officials say

The Washington State Department of Transportation had a miraculous discovery this week: It found Sasquatch.

The official department of transportation Twitter account for east of the Cascade Mountains shared Wednesday that Sasquatch might have been in the snowy mountains of Washington state the whole time.

“Sasquatch spotted!!!” the department tweeted. “I’m not superstitious... just a little stitious.”

The webcam at Sherman Pass on State Route 20 seemed to capture the creature wandering through the snow.

“If you look closely by the tree on the left there looks to be something,” the department said.

Some people wondered if the photos were photoshoped, but the department insists it’s not a shadow, that it’s not fake and that there is a story behind the images.

It wouldn’t share what that story is, though.

“There is a story behind it... our signals/sign shop manager knows the truth behind it,” it said. “I’ll see what I can find out, but he’s very tight lipped!”

For now, it seems the Washington state transportation officials have found Sasquatch, and they’re having lots of fun getting everyone else on board.

“Might be Sasquatch,” they tweeted. “We will leave that up to you!”
