Drought Resource Center holds open house in Porterville
The Drought Resource Center in Porterville is holding an open house for the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.
The center, at 185 S. Leggett St., is a project of Community Services Employment Training. It offers free public showers, sinks and portable toilets, and an office providing information and referral services.
Bottled water pickup, household tank installation and bottled water delivery programs are also available.
Self Help Enterprises, Family HealthCare Network and The Employment Connection will be at the open house to provide resources and information.
