California High-Speed Rail Authority announces road closures

The Kern Street intersection on G Street in downtown Fresno will be closed starting July 13 through July 20, according to the California High-Speed Rail Authority.

Detours at Tulare, Mariposa, Mono and F Streets will be in effect during the closure, and motorists may experience delays.

The road closure is in place as part of storm drainage construction activities and is part of the first stretch of high-speed rail between Avenue 17 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County.
