Students delve into past at 33rd annual Fresno County History Day
If it’s historical, it was probably on display Saturday at the 33rd annual Fresno County History Day at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno.
Nearly 500 students in grades four through 12 from 50 schools in nine districts participated in this year’s theme, “Exploration, Encounter, Exchange in History,” in the categories of two-dimensional display, exhibit, historical paper, website, documentary and performance.
Student winners in each category will move on to the state competition May 7-8 in Rocklin. If they win a state award, they can qualify for National History Day June 12-16 at the University of Maryland.
