Fresno State School of Nursing hosts first symposium Saturday

Fresno State’s School of Nursing will host its first “Think Bold: The Future of Nursing” symposium from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the North Gym Room 118.

The goal of the symposium is to attract licensed health care professionals in nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology and others to provide educational and network opportunities to students.

Dr. KT Waxman, assistant professor and director of the Executive Leader Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of San Francisco, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Waxman is known internationally as a speaker and author, serving as treasurer of the American Organization for Nurse Executives.

The symposium is $45 for licensed registered nurses and attendees, and $15 for all undergraduate students. To register, email
