Central Valley events to help students apply for financial aid
The Fresno County Office of Education (FCOE) will be presenting its sixth annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 13.
The event, which is being held in partnership with Univision, will have bilingual staff present to help families complete financial aid forms, like FAFSA and the California Dream Act application.
It will be hosted at nine locations in the Central Valley: Fresno State, Kremen School of Education; West Hills College-Coalinga; West Hills College-North District Center Firebaugh; West Hills College-Lemoore; Reedley College; UC Merced; College of the Sequoias in Visalia; Madera Community College Center; and Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office in Bakersfield.
Students wishing to participate must bring their Social Security card, driver’s license and financial information from 2015, if possible. If a student is a dependent, they should bring their parent’s 2015 federal income tax return. If registered for the 2016-2017 school year, students should bring their Federal Student Aid log-in information
