National FFA Foundation creates grant to help farmers, application dealing Feb. 15

Tractor Supply Company will launch a new program called “Grants for Growing” to allow for local FFA chapters to help better the community. The deadline to apply for the grant is Feb. 15.

The program raises funds for local FFA chapter initiatives and awards minimum $500 competitive grants to participating chapters. Although the minimum grant amount that will be awarded to selected chapters is $500, there is no limit on the amount of funding that a chapter can request.

If selected, funds can be used for activities like buying vegetation, trees, seed, chickens, feed, mulch or tools to help start or expand an FFA project that will continue for years to come.

Chapter advisors must complete the grant application, and eligibility will be based on the evaluation of how the money will be used, volunteer hours, and promotional activities during the fundraising period.

Tractor Supply shoppers can donate $1 at checkout to help raise funds from Feb. 19 to Feb. 28.

Tractor Supply Company, operating in 49 states, is located on the outskirts of major metropolitan cities and in rural communities. The store is focused on serving recreational farmers, ranchers and others who live a rural lifestyle.
