Clovis Unified students hold food, toy distribution event Sunday
Clovis Unified schools will team up with the Clovis Rotary Club and the Clovis Police Department for a Christmas food and toy distribution on Sunday.
Students from 17 Clovis schools have been collecting food for the past month, the Clovis Rotary Club said. The police department collects bicycles all year and directs young people from the youth offender program in refurbishing them. Families identified by the police department, schools and Salvation Army will receive the Christmas packages.
The event is at the P-R Farms headquarters at Willow and Shepherd avenues and will begin around 8:30 a.m.
