Thursday exhibit at Fresno City College to raise awareness of suicide

An exhibit Thursday at Fresno City College is intended to spark conversation about suicide.

The student advocacy organization Active Minds is presenting the exhibit of 1,100 backpacks, representing the number of college students nationwide who die by suicide annually. Personal stories and testimonies written by families and friends accompany the backpacks.

The event will be held Thursday at Fresno City College from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
