Four people are being honored Saturday in the areas of academics, agriculture, arts and athletics by the foundation of the Fresno County Office of Education at Fresno City College, the county education office said.

The 2015 Honors Gala is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Old Administration Building.

The program includes a celebration of the lifetime contributions of honorees to education in Fresno County. Last year the event raised more than $95,000 for academic events and programs offered to students throughout the county.

This year’s honorees are: the late Dr. Floyd B. Buchanan, Clovis Unified School District superintendent for 31 years; Debbie Jacobsen, the first female president of the Fresno Farm Bureau; Darius Assemi, president of Granville Homes and dedicated supporter of the arts in Fresno County schools; and Terance Frazier, former Fresno State and professional baseball player.

Tickets are sold out.
