Clovis Veterans Memorial District hosts Veterans Day contest
The Clovis Veterans Memorial District will host its annual Veterans Day contest for schoolchildren.
Elementary school students in Clovis are asked to submit artwork, while intermediate students are asked to submit essays, and high school students can submit video entries.
Winners will be announced in late October and they will be invited to an award ceremony during the week of Veterans Day.
Submissions will also be displayed at the Rex Phebus Veterans Memorial Building in Clovis during the week of Veterans Day.
This year’s theme for the contest is “Names on the Wall: A Tribute to Gold Star Heroes.”
Flyers and curriculum guides have been given to all Clovis Unified School District teachers.
