Veterans of Foreign Wars offer $45,000 in scholarships

Veterans of Foreign Wars is offering $45,000 in scholarships for students.

High school students can compete in two categories, The Voices of Democracy Audio Essay Competition or the Young American Creative Patriotic Award.

The grand prize for the audio essay is a $30,000 scholarship, and the grand prize for the top patriotic themed art submission will be a $10,000 scholarship.

The Patriot’s Pen Essay Writing Contest, open to grades 6-8, asks students to write essays on “What Freedom Means to Me,” offering a $5,000 grand prize scholarship.
