Fresno State students return as new school year begins
About 23,000 students filled Fresno State on Tuesday, the highest enrollment ever, as the fall semester began under sunny skies and afternoon temperatures in the mid-90s.
About 30,800 students applied to Fresno State this year – twice the application average for California State University campuses.
The number of applicants is a near 6,000 increase since 2010.
