Hanford High graduate gets $20,000 scholarship

A Hanford High School graduate will receive a $20,000 scholarship from Golden 1 Credit Union.

The scholarship will help Vanessa Lopez as she attends San Diego State University starting this fall.

At Hanford High School, Lopez earned a 4.0 GPA while taking advanced classes and participating in student government as well as sports.

Golden 1 Credit Union has awarded scholarships to 33 students attending California colleges and universities this fall.
