Vang Pao Elementary community event scheduled for Saturday

Officers from the Southeast Policing District will partner with volunteers for a community event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Vang Pao Elementary School.

The event at 4100 E. Heaton Ave. is part of an effort to address neighborhood problems that often escalate into violence and to promote police-community relationships through visitor interaction with police and volunteers.

The event will have free food, music, games, bounce houses and other entertainment.
