Former New York Giants player speaks at benefit dinner in Clovis

A benefit dinner for Champions for Tomorrow will be hosted at the House of JuJu in Clovis on Sunday, the Champions for Tomorrow said.

The event will be at 6 p.m. at 453 Pollasky Ave. and will feature former USC Rose Bowl champion and former New York Giants football player Keith Davis.

Champions for Tomorrow reaches approximately 20,000 students in over 60 schools in the Central Valley each year. The athletes speak about cyberbullying, peer pressure, cutting, drug abuse, abstinence, academics, self-image and other topics.

All money raised goes directly into the program so that it can be offered to the schools in the community. No salaries or bonuses are given to the organization’s board members. The funds allow them to bring the athletes and their message to the Central Valley.
