Fresno State hosts summer high school character, language program
The Fresno County Office of Education will begin a two-week program Monday to teach high school students the importance of character and English language arts at Fresno State.
The program, called Character, Honor, Integrity, Perseverance and Service (CHIPS), will teach students entering grades nine through 11 the benefits of the study of English. The approximately 70 participants applied to CHIPS by writing to express their commitment to the program. The students represent school districts serving Orange Cove, Parlier, Madera, Mendota, Kerman, and Firebaugh.
