Vandals paint graffiti at Fresno Christian Schools
Vandals caused extensive graffiti damage overnight or early Wednesday to an exterior wall of the gymnasium at Fresno Christian Schools, Fresno police reported.
Officers were sent to the school campus at Cedar and Spruce avenues to investigate the incident. Lt. Donald Gross said the vandalism included “profanity and lifestyle slurs.”
The incident doesn’t appear to pose a threat to the school or students, but is being investigated as a possible hate crime “due to the nature of the graffiti and its placement on a religious-based school,” Gross said.
“The unfortunate part,” he added, “is that the school ends up bearing the cost of the cleanup.”
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police detective Danny Kim at (559) 621-6450.
