Fresno State Bulldog Pride Fund scholars named
Seven Fresno State students, including the student body president and the school mascot, have each been awarded $2,000 Bulldog Pride Fund scholarships for the upcoming school year.
The Bulldog Pride Fund is an endowed scholarship annually awarded by the Fresno State Alumni Association. This year’s recipients are:
▪ Abigail Hudson, a senior from Fresno studying political science who was elected president of Associated Students, Inc. for the upcoming school year.
▪ Corinna Rubio, a graduate student from Fresno studying communicative disorders and deaf education.
▪ Justin Kamimoto, a senior from Clovis studying leadership and development of community benefit organizations.
▪ Levi Landon, a senior from San Diego studying political science.
▪ Stefan Alvidrez, a sophomore from Enumclaw, Washington studying kinesiology and president of United Student Pride at Fresno State.
▪ Jaclyn Young, a senior from Fresno majoring in liberal studies.
▪ Timeout, the school mascot. The identity of the student who performs as Timeout is kept secret.
The number of recipients varies from year to year. Since 2006, the Bulldog Pride Fund has awarded 41 scholarships valued at $74,000.
