Buchanan High School students to compete in national history day contest
Five students from Buchanan High School will compete in the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest at the University of Maryland.
The students are: Kelsey Ewing, Allison Hodge, Sydney Fox, Matt Clark and Bridget Hughes.
After winning first place in county, regional, and statewide competitions, the students qualified for the national contest.
The group wrote, designed, and performed a presentation titled “Impatient Crusader: The Leadership and Legacy of Florence Kelley.” Students will present their project at the national history day contest.
The students are asking for financial donations to help cover the cost of hotel, airfare, food, shipping, ground transportation and registration fees.
