Porterville College students chosen for statewide academic team

Two Porterville College students have been selected for the 2015 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-California Academic Second Team by the Community College League of California.

Troy Castillo and Linnett Cazares Madrigal will receive special recognition at a luncheon and awards ceremony, including medallions, certificates and often stipends or scholarships. The 2015 ceremony will be held April 7 in Sacramento.

Each two-year college in California may nominate two students per campus to the All-USA Academic Team. Nominations are based on outstanding academic performance and service to the students’ colleges and communities.
