Four Clovis businesses cited for selling alcohol to minors

The Clovis Police Department cited four clerks on Tuesday for selling alcohol to minors during a decoy operation in Clovis, police said.

Six plainclothes officers along with officials from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control agency supervised the two minors during the operation, which encompassed 29 locations.

Clerks who sold the alcohol face a minimum fine of $250 and possible community service for the first violation. The businesses could also be fined and their alcohol licenses suspended or revoked.
