Hanford police chase ends in crash, teen driver arrested

A 17-year-old Stratford boy driving a black Cadillac CTS led Hanford police on a chase Saturday night before crashing into a mobile home park.

Lt. George Hernandez said the boy committed a moving violation just before midnight in a central Hanford neighborhood and failed to stop for officers. He drove north out of the neighborhood then east on Hanford-Armona Road before crashing into the Bel Air mobile home park on the northeast corner of Hanford-Armona and 11th Avenue.

The boy ran three blocks north before he was captured at Davis Street.

Three more juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were in the car and in possession of concentrated cannabis, Hernandez said. Officers also found a loaded .357 revolver under the driver’s seat. All four juveniles were booked into Kings County Juvenile Center.
