Four arrested in Porterville in child endangerment, other charges

A search for a man wanted in connection to a criminal investigation in Porterville led to the arrest of three others Friday.

Police arrived at a home in the 600 block of South Indiana Street around 12:30 p.m. in search of Gerardo Lucio, 37, but found two other men and a woman who were arrested for drug or probation violations.

Police said Lucio and the two other men, identified as Jorge Osorio, 25, and Francisco Osorio, 27, both of Porterville, were under the influence of drugs while the woman, 20-year-old Megan Mallory, of Porterville, was in probation and had a warrant for her arrest. She also had a weapon when police found her.

A search of the home found drug-related products were within reach of children who were nearby, police said.

The four suspects were arrested for child endangerment, police said.

Lucio, also an identified gang member, was arrested for being under the influence of drugs, violating his probation and for criminal threats.

Jorge Osorio, who police identified as a gang member and who had violated his probation, was arrested for being under the influence and in possession of drug-related materials.

Fernando Osorio was arrested for being under the influence and possessing drug materials, police said.

Mallory was arrested on her warrant and for possessing a prohibited weapon as well as for violating her probation, police said.
