Gun tossed from car in chase with Fresno police; 2 arrested
Two men were arrested Friday night in central Fresno after a gun was thrown out of a car window during a police chase.
Fresno Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium units were attempting a traffic stop on a vehicle when the car sped away, Fresno police reported.
During the pursuit, a passenger in the vehicle tossed a handgun out a window. The gun was later recovered, police reported.
The chase ended with a minor crash into a parked car near North Weber Avenue and West Fountain Way.
Two of three suspects detained at the scene are in custody. At least one of the suspects was on probation, police reported.
Officers are working on identifying the driver, police reported.
