Tulare man sentenced to 30 years in state prison for child molestation
A Tulare man was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in state prison for five counts of child molestation and will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Scott Green, 26, pleaded no contest on July 22 to five felony counts of lewd acts upon two girls younger than 14, Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said.
Four of Green’s crimes happened between September 2006 and February 2010 against a girl who was between the ages of 10 and 13. The other crime occurred within the same time periods, against a different girl who was between the ages of 7 and 10, Ward said.
Green must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence, Ward said.
