Man shot to death in car at Madera park

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in southeast Madera, police said.

Detective Sgt. Johnnie C. Smith said Jose Pacheco Ordaz was found in a car at McNally Park just before 9 p.m. Ordaz was slumped in the driver’s seat with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

Smith said investigators investigators believe there may be at least two suspects who approached Ordaz’s car on foot after some type of altercation. No other information was immediately available.
