Three arraigned in Tulare County sex ring case

Felony charges have been filed against three men arrested last week on suspicion of running a human trafficking sex ring, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.

Antonio Alvarez, 34, is charged with 30 felonies, including 12 counts of human trafficking.

Other charges include child molestation, pandering, solicitation, pimping and possession of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing Tuesday.

Anthony Raga, 19, and Joel Mancini, 40, are charged with two counts of human trafficking and one count of pimping. They also pleaded not guilty.

A preliminary hearing for all three was set for Aug. 24.

Eleven men have also been charged with misdemeanor counts of engaging in and agreeing to engage in prostitution.
