Teenager arrested in series of Biola burglaries

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly breaking into five Biola homes and stealing property in the last month, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Spokesman Tony Botti said deputies caught the boy on Friday after following shoe prints from a burglarized home in the 12000 block of West D Street. The prints led to a bag that contained property from various burglaries. They searched the area and found the boy, who fit the description given by the victim on D Street. He was carrying a backpack filled with property from the five burglaries, which date back to June 22.

Investigators learned the boy was a runaway from Mendota and on probation. He was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Campus.
