Visalia fire destroys home, injures firefighter
A single family home was destroyed in Visalia on Friday when a fire ripped through it, injuring a firefighter, Battalion Chief Dustin Hall said.
The fire at 2600 S. Kloth Drive reported about 5:12 p.m. When fire crews arrived, they found a neighboring home had also caught fire but sustained only minor damage.
Hall said the three-alarm fire called for several agencies to assist, including gas and water companies.
Ground operations limited further damage to the area. Total loss after the fire is estimated at $384,000, Hall said.
The injured firefighter was treated and released from a local hospital. A total of 38 personnel responded to the fire, including an arson investigator.
