Woman found dead in Mendota identified

The Fresno County coroner has identified the body of a woman found early Wednesday morning outside a Mendota apartment complex as Joanna Maya, 30, of Mendota.

She was found Wednesday morning after Mendota police received a call about an injured person in the 200 block of I Street.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case. No arrests have been made.
