Madera police find dead man, call it murder
One person is dead in Madera after falling victim to a shooting Sunday morning, Madera police Sgt. Dan Foss said.
Foss said officers responded to the 700 block of South Gateway Drive around 6:30 a.m. and found a dead Hispanic male, with gunshot injuries to his lower torso.
The man has not been identified, but is believed to be about 35 years old. Foss said the shooting likely happened several hours before officers arrived at the scene.
