Body pulled from canal in Sanger; possible suspicious death
Detectives from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a suspicious death after the dive team pulled a body from a canal in Sanger Sunday morning.
The man’s body was discovered underwater around 6 a.m. Sunday near North and Newmark avenues. The cause of death is unknown, but due to trauma found on the body, sheriff’s detectives are treating the man’s death as suspicious.
The coroner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine cause of death, but he has yet to be identified officially. Police say he appears to be in his 30s.
