Man arrested in Exeter with 100 pounds of marijuana in truck
A man was arrested in Exeter on Friday afternoon after detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop involving a utility truck, which was found to contain 100 pounds of processed marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Just before 1 p.m., Gerardo Zamora, 50, was pulled over around Avenue 280 and Yokohl Drive in Exeter. A strong smell of marijuana was detected from the vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said, and after being questioned, Zamora told detectives he had 100 pounds of marijuana in the utility bed of the truck.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and seized the marijuana, which had street value of $112,000. The Sheriff’s Office said Zamora is from the Fresno area.
