Visalia man jailed in shooting
Visalia police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon days after someone reported that their car and a nearby home had been shot at.
Javier Huerta was arrested on June 18, four days after the mid-morning shooting at Willis Street and Grove Avenue.
Police said the victim was sitting in his vehicle when the shooter approached and fired a gun at the victim. The victim's vehicle and a nearby home were hit, but the victim was uninjured. Huerta was identified as the suspected shooter, but it took officers four days to track him down.
