Dinuba man faces life in prison for child molestation
A Dinuba man found guilty of child molestation faces possible life in prison, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said.
Carlos Alvarado, 38, was sentenced Monday to 155 years to life in prison after a jury in May found him guilty of three counts of sexual intercourse with a minor and 10 counts of forcible lewd acts on an underage child.
The felony crimes occurred between Aug. 30, 2004, and Aug. 29, 2007, the DA said. The victim in the case was between 5 and 8 years old during the sexual molestation.
Alvarado will be required to register as a sex offender for life. His trial, beginning May 9, lasted four days, the DA said.
