Hanford police trying to unravel mysterious shooting death

Hanford police responding to a report of gunshots found the body of an unidentified male shot to death late Friday night.

Police said the shooting happened on the 500 block of East Cameron Street about 11 p.m.

Detectives don’t have a lot to go on and are asking for help in identifying the victim, who is described as Hispanic between the ages of 18 and 25, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

The victim has tattoos of a black diamond on his lower chest and the letters “U.G.M.” in cursive script on his upper left chest.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting or the victim’s identity is asked to contact detective Jason Gustin at 559-585-4723.
