Five arrested in Clovis East High School burglary

Five people were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of burglarizing Clovis East High School, the Clovis Police Department said.

Three adults and two juveniles broke into campus buildings twice and stole electronics and checks made out to Clovis East athletics, police said.

On early Sunday morning, Clovis officers were called to a disturbance at Clovis and Herndon avenues. Officers spoke with Chris Yang, 19, and David Durazo, 19, both of Fresno. During that time, officers found property belonging to Clovis East High School.

Detectives followed up on the investigation and arrested Manuel Christopherson, 19, of Fresno, and two male juveniles. Detectives were able to recover several stolen items.

All five suspects were arrested for one count of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit a crime.
