CHP looking for ‘person of interest’ in Kingsburg hit-and-run

The California Highway Patrol said investigators have identified a person of interest in connection to a hit-and-run accident that left a bicyclist dead near Kingsburg.

Around 5:30 p.m. on May 24, Nathan Bolton, 36, of Kingsburg, was struck by a white Dodge pickup as he rode his bicycle east on Avenue 400 near Road 24, the California Highway Patrol reported. Bolton was thrown into the shoulder where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the pickup fled east on Avenue 400. The pickup was recovered the same day on Lawrence Avenue, east of Road 56 in Delft Colony.

No arrests were made at the time of the finding, but a person of interest, whose identity has not been released, is wanted in connection with the hit-and-run, the HP said.
