Fresno police are investigating a shooting, possibly men in two cars exchanging fire, near McKinley Avenue and Golden State Boulevard on Thursday.

One of the cars drove onto the Southern Pacific tracks, where it high-centered. The occupants escaped on foot.

Officers are looking for shell casings and other evidence.

A police spokesman said the gunfire may have erupted after occupants in one vehicle exchanged harsh looks with the occupants of another.
