Fresno County detectives investigate possible homicide
Fresno County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found Sunday in an orchard east of Fresno.
The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s office said they received a call around 1:20 p.m. from the owner of an orchard who discovered a man’s body as he drove along on the 2100 block of North Leonard Avenue.
When sheriff deputies arrived, they confirmed the man was dead, but weren’t sure how long the body had been there.
The identity of the man is not being released pending notification of family. Homicide detectives were assisting with the investigation.
