Three people were arrested Wednesday in Madera on suspicion of burglary after officers were dispatched to an alarm at an irrigation business, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

Monica Sanchez, 33, of Chowchilla, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and possession of stolen property, the sheriff’s office said. Richard Streatch, 38, of Chowchilla, was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, and Dillian Barefield, 22, was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary conspiracy, possession of stolen property and providing false registration on a motor vehicle.

Around 2 a.m., deputies found Sanchez sitting inside a Nissan SUV just south of the business in the 20000 block of Golden State Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said. Streatch and Barefield were seen inside the fenced area behind the business.

Sanchez and Streatch were arrested at the scene while Barefield ran off, the sheriff’s office said. Officers found two cargo containers behind the business had been broken into and Barefield’s wallet was found inside the Nissan.

Barefield was arrested at 10 a.m. at his former home in the Fairmead area, the sheriff’s office said. Barefield’s mother, Dannette Barefield, 41, was arrested at the home on two warrants for probation violations.
