Two men arrested after Tower District robbery

Fresno police arrested two men, one armed with a handgun, after an early-morning robbery Thursday in the Tower District.

A spokesman said the robbery took place about 1:40 a.m. at Broadway Street and Olive Avenue, where two victims provided a description of the robbers to officers and reported that they were driving a white Toyota Corolla. Officers located a matching car near Ashlan and Marks avenues. The driver was still armed with a handgun and both men were taken into custody. Officers found the victims’ property in the car.
