MAGEC seizes guns, arrests four in Fresno
A traffic stop in central Fresno on May 12 led detectives from the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium to arrest four people on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, having guns and auto theft.
The detectives stopped a vehicle near First Street and Hammond Avenue at 4:12 p.m. and found driver Pey Hang, 35, had a suspended driver’s license. His passenger, True Yang, 26, had a felony warrant for auto theft. Detectives searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine and sales paraphernalia hidden in door panels and under the steering column.
Detectives later obtained a search warrant for the suspects’ homes. At Hang’s house, on East Hammond, detectives found two shotguns, two pistols and a marijuana garden in the backyard belonging to Neng Hang, 28, who lived at the house. He was arrested for cultivating marijuana and being armed.
A search of Yang’s home on East Cornell Avenue uncovered four shotguns. Yang’s sister, Bao Yang, 28, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine.
Pey Hang and True Yang were identified as Asian gang members.
